An advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a distinguished career in law of over Eleven (11) years in the fields of litigation, commercial law, convenyancing, administrative law and family law. Mumtaz has experience in private practise having worked at Ahmednasir Abdikadir & Company Advocates in Nairobi and Mombasa branches. She has practised in public service as legal officer at the Office of the Ombudsman.
In the Field of ADR, Mumtaz Khan trained and is a Certified Professional Mediator (CPM) from MTI (EA). She further undertook Advanced Mediation training and became a Chartered Mediator by the same MTI. She later trained as a Trainer of Mediators under MTI under which she undertakes training. She is an ADR consultant for corporations and offers private mediation services through her ADR firm. She is also an accredited Legal and compliance auditor, certified by the Kenya School of Law. She is an accredited Court Annexed mediator with the Judiciary of Kenya. She is currently undergoing further training through the Judiciary and ADR Centre as a Trainer of Mediators.
She is currently a board member of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (East Africa) She is an Internationally accredited and recognised mediator by the International Mediation Institute (IMI).
