Profile: Dr. Theo Bitho, the founder of BITHO LAW, an international arbitrator and a mediator,  is a bilingual attorney with a strong background in legal service projects encompassing Civil, American, and African (OHADA) law jurisdictions. Having graduated from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law (US) (LLM), the University Paris I Pantheon Sorbonne (France) (Ph.D. in Law), and the University of Lomé (Togo) Master, he has honed his skills through experiences in Washington DC (US), Togo (Africa), and Paris (France). Additionally, He holds a Certificate in International Dispute Resolution from the University of Leiden, Netherlands, a Certificate in Negotiation from Yale University, US, and a Certificate of the Law of the Sea from Kiel University (Germany).

His expertise lies in International Arbitration in mediation, both in the commercial and investment sectors. Over the years, he has assisted, advised, and represented numerous clients on various aspects of arbitration procedures. He has worked on international arbitration cases with seats in Europe and Africa, gaining valuable insights and knowledge. He possesses expertise in Infrastructure and energy Project Finance/PPP sectors, compliance and regulatory, and OHADA Business Law, mainly in Africa.

As a Counsel, he has worked on feasibility studies and compliance matters and provided legal opinions to international investors, as well as international organizations and institutions, in relation to various African projects. His eighteen (18) years of background and multicultural exposure have shaped him into an efficient lawyer with a can-do attitude. He is equipped to understand and meet the needs of his clients. He is committed to delivering excellent legal services, ensuring client satisfaction, and achieving successful outcomes.

Dr. BITHO is also an adjunct Professor of Law at many universities.
