Helga Akao

Helga Akao is a lawyer, an internationally certified mediator and the Managing Director of Restore Dialogue Uganda; an organization promoting peace, mediation and restorative justice in Uganda and East Africa. Helga is a passionate believer in mediation as a highly effective alternative dispute resolution mechanism. She represents Uganda on the Board of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators East Africa and is also very involved in projects that aim to develop and bring positive change to communities. She is a member of the Board of Advisors of Vipawa Children’s Art Museum and Nissi Rephidim Care. She also previously served on the Board of International Center for Ethno-Religious Mediation.
