Mr. Mangerere is a senior advocate of the High Court of Kenya and the President of the Mediation Training Institute East Africa. He is certified in Conflicts Dynamics Profile (CDP), an accredited Master Professional Mediation Trainer, a Patron of the Society of Mediators of East and Central Africa, a Certified Public Secretary (CPS -K), a Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public.
As a seasoned Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) specialist, Mr. Mangerere has a wealth of experience in the mediation of two-party and multi-party disputes in numerous contexts, including commercial, employment, corporate governance, workplace, banking, breach of contract, Intellectual Property, and many other areas, with emphasis on large and complex cases, both locally and internationally.
In 2018, Mr. Mangerere became the first African mediator to be inducted into the prestigious International Academy of Mediators as a distinguished fellow. He is a sought-after mediation speaker and trainer, frequently featured on television interviews on conflict resolution.
He has over 15 years training experience (local and international) in mediation and law. He is the managing partner of Mangerere J and Co Advocates, the Director HR and Administration for Unitel Services Limited and a Labour Laws Consultant. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London), Professional Trainers Association of Kenya, Law Society of Kenya, Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya, Kenya Institute of Management and the East Africa Law Society.
