Rev. Dr. Daniel Githuthwa is a lecturer at Mount Kenya University. He is a Certified and Chartered Mediator, accredited by the Court as a Court Annexed Mediator. He is also the Chairman of the Society of Certified Professional Mediators Kenya, a certified member of International Mediation Institute (IMI), a certified professional trainer, assessor, and mentor with Mediation Training Institute East Africa (MTII), a mediator with FIDA – KENYA, and a practicing, private mediator. He is experienced in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in various contexts such as family mediation, faith based, succession, and commercial mediation, among others.

He is an experienced and seasoned psychological counselor with the Kenya Counselors and Psychologist Association (KCPA), dealing with mental health. In addition, he is the Founder and Director of Heritage Counseling and Consultancy Center, and an ordained member of the clergy with a wealth of experience in Biblical Studies and Missions. Rev. Dr. Daniel has been an ICMC Board Member since its inauguration. Through the years, he has served the Institute in various capacities leading to the enforcement of world-class, impartial standards of mediation, preparation and production of the strategic plan, recruitment of chartered mediators and the promotion of mediation education and awareness. He was also instrumental in the development of a mediation center in Nairobi.
